09270006Photography used to figure heavily in my Sundays; I’d develop two rolls on Saturday and spend a good part of Sunday scanning. I haven’t shot two rolls in a week in a while, and now I’m sometimes going weeks between developing sessions. The winter weather is partly to blame, but there’s also that black band around my wrist. It’s not the Fitbit’s fault, but part of the reason I’m doing less shooting in general can be told with Fitbit data.

Kate and I started running back in September of 2012. It started with our neighborhood 5K, then we did the MCM 10K in November. We were planning on running the MCM 17.75K in April, but it sold out in 9 minutes, so we are running a 10 miler along the GW Parkway instead. As the long runs have gotten longer, Sunday has turned into a day where we don’t do much more than run, eat and rest. After  7 or 8 miles, making a smoothie (peanut butter, banana, soymilk & kale), taking a shower, and then making homemade pizza is pretty much all I’ve got in me at the moment.

Our mileage will start to taper back off mid April, so I should start to have more time photography soon. Although sometime in late April and early May, I’m going to start thinking about fly fishing, so who knows.
